I'm tired of the standard ringtone, you can easily change it. By default, the phone contains more than 30 standard melodies, but you can install any other one from your music collection.

To do this, go to Settings – Sound and vibration (sound and notifications) – Ringtone (ringtone).
If you cannot find your sound settings, enter “sound” or “ringtone” in the search box in settings.
We select any standard melody you like and perform “Select a melody on the device” – if you want to put your own music on the call.

Melody for contact
You can set your own ringtone for each contact in your phone. To do this, go to Contacts and select any contact. Click change (pencil icon at the top) or the “Change” menu.
On Xiaomi you need to scroll down the contact and select “default melody”.
And already select the song you like as a melody only for this contact. Or you can create your own ringtone – more on that later in the article.

Ringtone creation
To create your own ringtone and edit the song, we will use the “Make Ringtone” application from the Play Market.
We launch the application, give access to our files. Select a song and choose Edit from the pop-up menu to edit the song.
The editor will open. Before us is the sound wave of the selected composition. By moving the sliders left-right, we set the length of the melody. Those. in the editor, set the start and end point for the ringtone. And we adjust the sound – increase and decrease the volume. Below there are tools for manual length editing and for trimming the file. You can combine the cut segments by rearranging them in every way. For example, you can put 2 chorus lines in a row on a ringtone.
Adjust the ringtone volume and add fade in and fade out effects. Click on the sound icon at the top of the screen.
After finishing the work, save the file (floppy disk icon at the top).
The program is free, convenient and easy to use, but there are ads at the bottom of the screen that do not affect the editing of ringtones in any way.
