All modern versions of Android, starting from version 6.0 and higher, have the Doze function.
It saves power on your phone when it is off (screen is locked). All applications go into Hypernation mode. But as soon as we pick up the phone, Doze mode is deactivated.
Doze puts the phone into deep sleep mode. But by default, only after 20 minutes and only applications installed by the user (does not touch system applications). This alignment does not suit us.
How do I manage Doze mode?
In the Play Store, install the Naptime application (requires root to work). Basic settings:
- Aggressive Doze. It activates the power saving mode after a few minutes, and not after 20 minutes, as it is laid down by the functionality.
- Disable aggressive Doze when charging – disable Doze mode when the phone is charging.
- Re-apply Doze after wakeups – re-activates power saving mode after waking up.
- Light idle after inactive timeout – how long it takes to activate Doze mode after a timeout (awakening).
Doze mode on the phone is the lowest power consumption mode. Approximately 1% charge per hour.
