What is Wi-FiDirect
As we have already said, this is a technology, more precisely, a new standard for data transmission over a wireless network, which allows devices to interface with each other directly, without the participation of additional intermediate links, for example, a router. This is the convenience, because now when wirelessly pairing, for example, a tablet with a computer, this is done through a router to which both devices are connected.
Wi-FiDirect, including for Android, makes it possible to exchange information between mobile gadgets in any convenient place, even in nature, at a speed that is many times higher than the speed Bluetooth – connection; in addition, more than two devices can be connected at the same time. How to transfer files
Further we will show you in different variations how to use Wi-FiDirect on Android devices. To transfer any file (not a folder) using this technology, follow the instructions below.
- On both devices between which you will transfer, go to the settings.
- Select the line 'Wi-Fi'.
- Click on the 'Advanced' button.
In the meantime, there is no need to worry about it. ” 
- In the list that opens, click on the line 'Wi-FiDirect'.
- Scan the available machines by clicking on the 'Search' button.
- On one of the devices, select the name of the second.
- On the second device, confirm the connection by pressing the 'OK' button.

Sending from Explorer

- Start the file manager.

With QuickPic
Those with an alternative QuickPic gallery can also share files via Wi-FiDirect on Android using the functionality built into the program itself.
- Run the program on both devices.
- On the device to which you want to send data (device # 1), swipe (sliding without lifting your finger from the screen) to the right so that a small menu appears, and select the 'Wi-Fi sharing' item. Then you can postpone this gadget, pick up the device from which you will send files.
- On your device (# 2), highlight the photos or videos you want to transfer.
- Tap on the 'Submit' button.
- Click 'Wi-Fi Sharing'.
- A new window will display the name of device # 1, click on it to start transferring files.
If you need to send not only video files with photos, but also other formats, then on device No. 2, follow the steps from the method with a conductor from 1 to 5, only in the 5th paragraph, instead of 'Wi-FiDirect', select 'Wi-Fi sharing'.

Via SuperBeam
The SuperBeam application is designed for fast transfer of large files via Wi-Fi Direct technology to Android. It must be installed on all devices between which you will transfer information.
Transfer instructions
- On the phone or tablet from which you want to send, select the files you want in any program (explorer, gallery) that supports the transfer function.
- Click on the 'Submit' item.
- In the displayed list, mark 'SuperBeam', after which a QR code or key will appear.
- On the other device, start the SuperiorBeam program from the menu.
- In the 'Accept' window, click on the item 'QRcode' or 'By key', for example, we will select a QR code.
- The camera with scan function starts up. Point the camera at the display of the first device to read the code, after which the file transfer will begin.
Received data will be located along the path: / SdCard / SuperBeam.
These are the basic and easiest ways to share files over Wi-Fi. Yes, perhaps this method is more complicated than the usual one Bluetooth, because it involves more steps before sending itself, but it is convenient when exchanging files with a large volume, since the transfer rate on average is not lower than 1 megabyte per second, and the maximum ( when both modules on devices are based on 802.11n) can reach about 250 Mb / s.
