Increase battery power by Android

Battery on Android I would like to share my knowledge on how to increase battery life on Android. One of the main problems of modern devices is insufficient battery life.

What is the problem

All developers primarily increase the number of cores in the microprocessor, RAM and megapixels in the camera, but the batteries remain intact. Their volume is on average no more than 3200mAh, otherwise you will have to sacrifice the size of the gadget. And the more powerful the product is, the faster the battery is discharged. Scientists, of course, find a way out, having come up with a battery that does not exceed the volume of those already existing today, but it can be fully charged in just 30 seconds. This has been tested on the Samsung apparatus. But they decided to postpone the release of new items on the market. So I'll show you several ways how you can increase the operating time of Android.

Purchase an extra battery

To increase battery life on Android devices, I advise you to purchase a battery with a higher capacity than the one supplied with your device. There are several models, exclusively smartphones, where the developers have provided for the option of purchasing an extended battery. One has only to go to the official website and read on the page with your model if there is such an opportunity. By purchasing such a battery, along with it you acquire a second cover, deeper, after which the thickness of the device will increase by about 1.5 times.

Use a universal portable charger

It can significantly extend the battery life on an Android universal charger. These are accumulators built into a beautiful case, which themselves recharge from the outlet and then can distribute the charge to any other mobile device with the appropriate interface. Such chargers can contain a capacity from 1200 to 20,000 and more mAh. This capacity is 5 to 10 times larger than the battery built into the phone. One cannot but agree that such an acquisition will be irreplaceable on long trips or outdoors. Thanks to such a charge, you can stay connected for up to several days, at the same time sacrificing any functionality of your gadget, but only a little mobility (such devices can be twice the size and weight of your smartphone).

Optimize apparatus

If for some reason the first two recommendations do not fit, you need to properly configure the gadget to increase the battery life of the Android battery. All you need to do is change some values and disable unused functions. I'll tell you more below.

Decrease display brightness

According to statistics, it is the display that consumes the most battery, or rather, its backlight. The more you lower the brightness, the more you can save battery power on the Android. In order to change the brightness, you need:

  1. Open settings.
  2. Then go to the 'Display' item.

    Display settings

  3. Open 'Brightness' and set a lower value.

Note: you can set automatic adjustment, it will be better than just setting the maximum value, but worse than setting it to 30% or lower.

Give up live wallpaper

Decrease battery consumption on Android will help get rid of live wallpaper. Such wallpapers constantly load the device's GPU, which consumes battery power. If you want to reduce the battery drain on Android, do not use such wallpapers, but put the usual beautiful and juicy image.

Reduce screen timeout

I advise you to change the auto-off value of the display when idle to a lower value in order to reduce power consumption on Android. That is, after a missed call or SMS, the display will not stay on for 5 minutes, consuming the battery, but, for example, only 15 seconds, after which it will turn off. To reduce the backlight time, you need:

  1. Go to 'Settings'.
  2. Open 'Display'.
  3. Select the 'Time until the screen turns off' item and set the desired value.

Activating a special mode

Also on Android, the answer to the question 'how to reduce power consumption' will be the activation of ECO mode. This mode is found on most devices with a multi-core processor. Such a function artificially lowers the processor frequency, preventing it from rising to the maximum value, which significantly reduces power consumption.

  1. Go to the device settings.
  2. Go to the 'Battery' item.

    Battery settings

  3. Activate 'Eco Mode'.

Disable unused features

There are several other solutions for how to save the battery on Android. To do this, you need to disable unused services and functions:

  1. If you have a GPS module, turn it off when you are not using it. On some devices (depending on the stability of the system), the switched on GPS can significantly drain the battery.
  2. Keep an eye on the switched on Wi-Fi module. When your gadget is not connected to any of the Wi-Fi points, its module is constantly in search and notifies about any network found, which also requires constant replenishment of energy. Turn off this function when going outside, unless, of course, you are using a mobile Wi-Fi router.
  3. The same applies to the function Bluetooth. When active and not in use, it still leaves background detection or pairing for allowed devices to drain your battery. Power off Bluetooth if you are not going to use it soon.

Notes: all these services are activated and deactivated in the curtain of almost everyone Android. Simply lower or raise the shutter and click on the icon to change the state of the function.

Activate energy saving

I would like to propose an additional solution, how to extend charging on Android. The power saving function setting is available on many modern devices and contains almost all the settings described above. It works like this: you give a command that with the remainder of, say, 30% of the charge, the device will turn off the GPS, Wi-Fi, reduce the brightness, backlight time, activate Eco mode, etc., which will extend the battery life for a few more hours.

To configure this function you need:

  1. Go to 'Settings'.
  2. Open the item 'Battery'.
  3. Go to 'Energy Saving'.

  4. Check the boxes that need to be activated and deactivated when a certain charge is reached.

  5. Press the pump to activate.
