If you actively use Google maps on your device, then know that you can improve the accuracy of determining your location on the map and movement along the route.
We need to calibrate the electronic compass in the phone that is used by Google Maps.
- Start Google Maps.
- Click on the blue circle on the map (the blue dot is your location).
- A blue screen will appear with your location. At the bottom left, click “Configure Compass”.
- Calibrate your device's compass: move and tilt your phone as shown in the picture. Perform this action three times.
- Click done. The accuracy of your compass has improved. If not, repeat all steps.
Calibrating the compass in Google maps is needed to more accurately determine your location on the map and during your movement along the route. This is especially true in a large city with dense buildings and the concentration of many businesses next to each other.
Also, the Compass application will work more accurately.
