Calibrating the compass on your phone If you actively use Google maps on your device, then know that you can improve the accuracy of determining your location on the map and movement along the route.

We need to calibrate the electronic compass in the phone that is used by Google Maps.

  1. Start Google Maps.
  2. Click on the blue circle on the map (the blue dot is your location). Blue dot on the map
