Modern powerful multi-core smartphones with large screens consume battery power for a day of active use. How to extend the life of your smartphone by another 24 hours?
Setting up the power saving mode and smart power management will help us.
All battery settings are located in Settings – Battery.
We are shown the current battery charge and the operating time on the last charge. The newer the battery, the longer the time. My phone was just in standby mode, so the period is so long – almost 6 days. On average, a new smartphone holds a charge of up to 48 hours with moderate use.
Click on the battery icon and the battery usage information will appear. Here you can analyze which apps are using the most power and close them if necessary.
Power management
Below we find the settings for power management:
- Power saving in standby mode. Be sure to include!
- Power saving mode: turn on automatically. To extend battery life, power saving mode will reduce performance (lower processor frequency) and limit vibration, geolocation, and background data transfer. Data requiring synchronization can only be updated when you open the application (i.e. you will not receive notifications from whatsApp, vk, viber, telegram if the application is not running).
Power saving mode is automatically disabled while the device is charging. I recommend enabling the option at the value “at 5% charge”.
- Battery Level – Show the battery level in the status bar.
- Sleep mode – the screen turns off (or is locked if the code is set) after a while. Set 1 minute to save power.

How do I enable battery saver?
The Battery Saver option restricts background applications and data transfers, allowing you to save some battery life.
Go to Settings – Battery – Battery saver (three dots at the top right).
Here you can see which apps do not have battery saver and enable it.
As you can see, the correct setting of the power saving and battery saving mode can significantly extend the battery life on a single charge.
