On January 3, Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy S10 Lite and Note10 Lite. Smartphones will appeal not only to fans of the series, but also to those who want to get a productive device at an attractive price. Note10 on the Russian market costs 77 thousand rubles. Few are ready to give that kind of money for a device with a stylus, for them the Lite version was created, which, although technically inferior to the regular version, is much cheaper.

Who are these devices designed for?
The Galaxy A line of devices does not fit into the price range of 40-50 thousand rubles. In this segment, OnePlus smartphones are in the lead, which are a good cheap alternative to Samsung's flagships. To give consumers a choice, the company decided to offer them the S10 Lite and Note10 Lite. The first is equipped with the latest generation flagship Snapdragon 855 processor for a more confident position in comparison with OnePlus.
The S10 Lite and Note10 Lite have an identical 6.7-inch FullHD + Super AMOLED screen with a camera cutout. The company calls such a display Infinity-O.

The devices have the same 32 megapixel front camera. The same is probably used in the Galaxy A51. But the main modules are different here. The S10 Lite has a triple module: 5-megapixel macro f / 2.4, 48-megapixel Super Steady OIS AF f / 2.0 wide-angle module, 12 megapixel f / 2.2 wide-angle module.
The Note10 Lite also has a triple module, but already 12-megapixel f / 2.2, 12-megapixel Dual Pixel f / 1.7 OIS, and a telephoto 12 megapixel f / 2.4 OIS.
It's funny that with identical displays and a 4500 mAh battery, the devices have different dimensions and weights. Galaxy S10 Lite: 75.6 x 162.5 x 8.1 mm, 186 grams, Note10 Lite: 76.1 x 163.7 x 8.7 mm 199 grams. Why such a difference is still not clear to us.

Both devices are equipped with 6/8 GB RAM and 128 GB built-in memory. There is support for memory cards up to 512 GB, a fingerprint scanner in the screen, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, fast charging at 25 watts.
The main difference between the devices, along with the camera, can be the processor. The Note10 Lite uses last year's flagship Exynos, the same one used in the Galaxy S9. But the S10 Lite has a new and modern Snapdragon 855.
In Russia, the S10 Lite will be sold at a price of 44,990 rubles, while the Note10 Lite will cost consumers 39,990 rubles. The S10 Lite will be available in black, white and blue, while the Note10 Lite will be available in black, white and red.
Galaxy S10e or Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite?
S10e costs 45,990 rubles, S10 Lite will be sold in Russia for about the same price. Consumers will have a difficult choice: a compact full-fledged flagship S10e or the new S10 Lite based on the more interesting Snapdragon 855, which is technically not particularly inferior and even superior to Samsung's flagship chipset. Here, rather, everything depends on what dimensions are pleasant to the user, because the devices are technically very similar.
Manufacturers can opt for the S10 Lite due to its advanced Super Steady OIS.
But not without flaws
Although the S10 Lite attracts with its stabilization, large screen and powerful processor, it is worth noting that it is completely made of plastic. Which is very strange, because a smartphone costs almost 50 thousand rubles. The S10e, for example, uses Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and back, and the ends are made of polished metal.
