Many people in our country like phones Huawei, so right now we are ready to share a first look at the P40 – the company's new flagship. Huawei plans to present a new generation of flagships at the end of March this year, or to be more precise – on March 26th. However, already now we will show how the phone looks like, and also share our opinion on its account. The images of the device were published by our colleagues at digitaltrends, for which a special thank you. What will please the Chinese this time? Let's figure it out.

Since the software in the device is not yet final, our colleagues decided not to show the front of the phone, as well as its software. Most likely, Huawei herself provided the guys with a phone so that they could share their opinion on the design of its back cover. This is a good way to whet consumer interest in new products.

Huawei P40 seems interesting enough for design

The Polarie and Blink inscriptions on the body of the device once again confirm that this is a prototype. On the final phone, these places will be taken by the signatures 'Huawei' and 'Leica'. This is the first time I've seen prototypes use 'fish-text' on the body.

What phones will Huawei present?

The Huawei P40 Lite, P40, P40 Pro and P40 Premium Edition are coming. As you may have guessed, it is the latest version that will offer customers only the best. Most likely, the image above represents the P40, because the number of cameras and bezel do not match those of the P40 Pro.

Camera bezel Huawei P40 fits neatly into the phone body

The phone seemed very pleasant to me. Yes, this is still a Chinese device in the design question, but it is worth noting that Huawei still tries to make the device more serious and attractive. Separately, I will note the smooth curves on the sides of the phone, due to which it will be more comfortable to hold it in your hands in comparison with some P30 Pro. By the way, not so long ago Huawei presented a premium tablet (click to explore it)!

Many will find it nice that the P40 uses physical buttons, as opposed to the touch buttons in the Mate 30 Pro. However, the lack of a 3.5 mm headphone jack may be a disadvantage.

From the cameras, the Huawei P40 uses a periscope design that offers users 10x optical zoom. I would like to separately note the rather neat arrangement of the camera modules – the bezel seems not so massive and rather neat. You don't get the impression that you are using a camera with a phone function. The phone doesn't feel so thin, so expect a 4000-4500mAh large battery. In addition, the company is likely to use a screen with a higher refresh rate (90 Hz or 120 Hz) to keep up with the current trends in the smartphone market.

Previously, an insider overlaid the P40 front bezel on the P30 Pro bezel. You can see that these are identical devices in size. Probably, the company thus wants to make the transition of users from the old to the new model smoother.

Cons Huawei P40

The only thing that seems superfluous to me now is the color with a slight mother-of-pearl effect. It makes the phone cheap or something. I would still like some more rigor from the flagship model. Of course, this is just my subjective opinion, which may differ from yours.

Specifications Huawei P40

Sales started Huawei P40 Lite

Not so long ago, sales of the first device in the P40 line started. It was the P40 Lite. The device sells in Spain for 299 euros with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The device is equipped with a 6.4-inch FHD screen, a Kirin 810 processor, a main camera with 4 modules, one of which is 48 megapixels. From the pleasant – a 4200 mAh battery, the presence of NFC and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
