I don’t know about you, but I hate overpaying, especially for things that you obviously buy for a short time. Of course, I'm talking about smartphones. Well, just think: what would it be like for you if you bought a new flagship for 70 thousand rubles, and just a few months later it fell in price by 25-30 thousand? I would be very upset. To avoid such disappointments, I prefer to take smartphones not at the start of sales, but a little later, when their prices return to normal. Yes, this is not very convenient, because in this case it is impossible to show off a new thing that has not yet had time to become familiar. But with smartphones Huawei you have such an opportunity.
Smartphones Huawei – the most profitable? Apparently yes
Recently, I decided to check which smartphones are getting cheaper the most in the first year of sales, and found out that this figure is 30% on average in the market. That is, there are more (40%), and sometimes less – 20-25%. You don't have to go far for examples:
How smartphones are getting cheaper by Android
Flagships on Android are getting cheaper very quickly, but not all
- Galaxy S20 went on sale for 70 thousand rubles, and today it costs 47 thousand rubles;
- Galaxy S20 went on sale for 80 thousand rubles, and today it costs 49 thousand rubles;
- Xiaomi Mi 10 went on sale for 70 thousand rubles, and today it costs 45 thousand rubles.
It turns out that the losses of each of the models were about 30-35%, which is quite a lot. Yes, the price cut was not official, but was provoked by market fluctuations. But, if you judge, then who cares at all, for what reason the smartphone began to fall in price? After all, if someone started selling it cheaper, it means that he just managed to buy it cheaper, that's all.
However, you need to understand that this trend is typical only for the Russian market due to the development of the gray market, which became possible due to the high exchange rate of foreign currencies and the local sales tax. Therefore, it is profitable for gray carriers to travel abroad and carry smartphones to us, knowing that they will definitely be bought at a discount of 30-40%.
Price Huawei P40
The official price Huawei P40 is 40 thousand rubles, and the gray one is 36 thousand
But with devices Huawei the situation is completely opposite. Due to the fact that they do not have support for Google services, they are considered to be some kind of renegades. Fearing low demand, servo carriers are reluctant to take them to Russia. After all, having purchased illiquid assets that will not be sold out, they risk being left with a batch of devices that no one needs and losing money spent on purchases, logistics and other expenses.
Because of this Huawei P40 and P40 Pro, which are already available on the Russian market, lost only 10-15% of the price. After all, neither Huawei itself, nor official retailers, who buy smartphones at a wholesale price, but clearly not as cheaply as servo carriers, can dump and trade at a loss. And what's the point if Huawei is still popular and in great demand?
No matter how frightened the US Huawei with new sanctions, the company continues to develop and increase the demand for its smartphones. In any case, they are very readily bought in Russia. This is evidenced by a large number of reviews on Yandex.Market, where, although there are fakes, the main part is still the impressions of the real owners.
Should I buy Huawei
Smartphones Huawei are popular despite the lack of Google services
Just imagine: people knowingly buy smartphones without Google services, risking the ability to download American software and software support as such. What drives them? Most likely, the high quality of the brand's products. After all, it is Huawei that are equipped with one of the best cameras on the market, have – is it a joke – amazing design and quite reasonable price. Yes, Huawei The P40 Pro is quite expensive, but the classic P40, with all its merits, costs quite reasonable money – only 36-40 thousand rubles.
I remember very well saying that Huawei is not my choice. This is still the case. But I am a separate story. Updates, the ability to pay for purchases online in a safe way are too expensive for me, and, of course, the very idea of downloading software anyhow where, as it suggests Huawei, is sickening. But, if this does not bother you, I think the brand's devices will be an excellent choice for you.
