List of smartphones with E-Ink screen

Reading on a smartphone is rewarding, and that's what we do every day. If earlier IPS-displays enjoyed the greatest popularity, today AMOLED – screens are becoming more and more attractive. Their disadvantage is pulse width modulation (PWM). Manufacturers solve this problem by using the DC-Dimming function, but even with the enabled function, the ripple on AMOLED – screens is stronger than on IPS.

In addition, the very technology of such screens makes their use less comfortable for the eyes and requires a higher screen resolution. In simple words, with a AMOLED – screen, vision may deteriorate over time if you spend more than 5 hours a day at your phone and read various materials most of the time. Devices with built-in E-Ink display can be a good alternative. Ideal combination: main AMOLED – screen and additional E-Ink. However, some even decide to make the E-Ink display the main one. This article presents smartphones with E-Ink display.
