There is now information that the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus battery will receive a slight upgrade over the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus, but this is an extremely minimal change. You can even say that it needs more for show, just to justify the changes (and, most likely, the price increase), and at the same time loudly say from the stage that now the battery is larger than last year.
According to information received from the Galaxy Club, the upcoming Samsung device will come with a 4,500mAh battery. Compared to last year's variant, which had a 4,300mAh battery, that's an improvement, but not much. It is not difficult to calculate that it is only 200 mAh or less than five percent.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra has a much larger 5,000mAh battery, which gives it impressive battery life. However, there is a good reason for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus to have a smaller battery. This is precisely the reason for the S Pen. Whatever one may say, but it takes place in the case. Considering how tightly everything is placed inside, and the fact that most of the inside of the case is given to the battery, the size of the stylus becomes a real problem.
However, the fact that the battery is only slightly larger does not mean that its lifespan will improve significantly. Of course, the novelty will receive many energy saving systems and I want to believe that it will be more economical itself, but you shouldn't make a big bet on these 200 mAh batteries. Back in April, there were rumors that the regular Samsung Galaxy Note 20 would have a 4,000mAh battery versus 3,500mAh last year. This difference in a simpler and more compact model is achieved due to the fact that the capacity of the battery does not grow in proportion to its size. At some point, she starts to lag behind.
Of course, all these numbers are just numbers at the moment, since the actual battery life varies depending on many factors. We won't be able to figure out what the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus can do in terms of battery life until we have used it for an extended period of time.
One thing is for sure! Buying this smartphone just because you like it on its own, you get a kind of “suitcase without a handle”, which is difficult to carry and a pity to throw away. This is exactly what the S Pen will carry. If not for him, it would have been possible to save space for about an extra 500-600 mAh, but the manufacturer stubbornly goes the other way, offering the buyer a choice.
Fans of the model are not ready to give up a convenient tool for them for a ten percent increase in autonomy. This is their business. Just keep in mind that you have to pay autonomy to use the stylus.
